Jalen Washington is a distinguished musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and film director based in Minneapolis. A true multi-instrumentalist, Jalen is proficient in drums, guitar, bass, and piano - often recording nearly all of his own instrumental tracks. His hands-on approach to music-making highlights both his technical mastery and his deeply personal creative vision.
Widely recognized as the guitarist for the band THR333, Jalen’s guitar work channels the soulful intensity of Slash, the melodic sophistication of John Mayer, and the expressive freedom of Jimi Hendrix. His distinctive sound bridges eras and genres, blending raw emotion with refined musicianship.
On September 26, 2025, Jalen released his highly anticipated 10-song debut album, Butterfly Tattoo - a powerful statement of artistry and emotion. The record features standout tracks such as “Stay Away,” “I Should Have Went to See Buckethead,” “How Do You Like Me Now,” “I Think I Know That Song,” “Take It All,” “Lately,” “The Old 1975,” “Jo,” “I Won’t Come Back,” and “My Last Goodbye.” Each song showcases Jalen’s ability to weave storytelling with sound, capturing a wide spectrum of moods and musical textures.
